Bösendorfer 290 Imperial CEUS

A "Bösendorfer 290 Imperial" is something special. Since 1909 the concert grand has a range of 8 full octaves and 97 keys. Many pieces of music can only be reproduced faithfully on a "Bösendorfer 290 Imperial".
Not least thanks to the know-how of the experts at the Vienna University of Technology, the "Bösendorfer 290 Imperial" became the "Bösendorfer 290 Imperial CEUS" in 2005. Since then, this concert grand has been able to record and reproduce pieces of music played on it. Even the smallest movements of the hammer and pedals, as well as the precise strength of the strokes, are recorded and stored. In the exhibition "AI x Music" the "Bösendorfer 290 Imperial CEUS" performs "Ma Mère l'Oye" by Maurice Ravel. The piece was recorded by Dennis Russell Davies and Maki Namekawa.
